Thanks for posting, I'm sure Tony will eventually find out, but I think it's cheaper just using the yazaki CHAdeMO port from a leaf like this:

That article's from last fall. So much for "this winter" I guess.

Afraid not. It adapts the CHAdeMO standard to work using the Supercharger standard the Teslas use. The RAV4 doesn't support the Supercharger standard (or any form of DC charging), so it wouldn't help. The only path to DC charging is the DIY efforts described above.
