Tony, you need to add the planned travel time.
And a pointer to your previous trip without CHAdeMO.
To show the improvement.

If I ever get mine fixed, I could drive it to northern CA for repairs. :)

Massaging the numbers a bit, I'm going to start with a full charge, and won't charge at my destination, so I'll arbitrarily subtract 200 miles of energy not needed to be added enroute.

So, 1225 miles divided by 3 miles per KWH consumption (70-75mph) equals 408kWh added.

Using a composite 40.8kW charge rate means that 10 hours are spent charging with 24 hours traveling at 60mph average.

On the Northern Ca weak link of the trip, is #11 a Chademo stations or an RV park that you will have to stop at for 3 hours and use your Jesla?

11) Railroad Park Resort, Little Castle Creek, 100 Railroad Park Rd, Dunsmuir, CA

stop #8 on Hammer Lane in Stockton is right down the street from the spot i charge all the time (L2) at Walgreens at 850 WEST Lane (corner of West Lane and Hammer) on the way from Fremont to my house in Volcano. I can meet you there :)

Driving from Santee to Vallejo thsi weekend. Driving the Prius tho cause I'm still looking forward to Chademo. I hope testing is going well and production units will be available soon.

That's why I said "almost". This site would have to be a JESLA connection.

Tony:

You can probably skip #6 and #8 as the distance from #5-#7 is 109 miles and from #7-#9 is 108 miles.

If you let me know when you will arrive at #4 I can arrive with a burger or what have you. :D

That is, if I am not working! :(

There's a few sayings in aviation:

Don't leave altitude above you.
Don't leave runway behind you.
Dont leave fuel in the truck.
Dont use airspeed you don't have.

For long distance EV driving... Dont leave quick chargers unused. What if the one you're going to is broken?

Also, we don't want to charge above 85% at any one charger unless we have to (to reach the next charger).

And, you can never have too much altitude or fuel - unless you're on fire.

definitely a learning curve, and something you have to get used to ;-)
Luckily there are many areas which have a lot of QC'ers.
Start experimenting there ;-)
