Hi- I love my 2014 Rav Ev and was getting about 150-160 km per charge. Recently I noticed this is down to 125-130!
What could be happening? My odometer is 175,000 km.
Can anyone help?

It sounds like normal battery degradation over time, especially with 175,000 km on the odometer. Most EV batteries lose a bit of capacity after years of use. Cold weather or frequent fast charging might also contribute to the range drop. Have you noticed if it’s worse in colder months?

Also, the Guess-o-meter is based on the efficiency of recent drives. Is it possible that winter weather is eating into your efficiency, making the numbers go down temporarily?

Could it just be ‘winter’? The battery works less well in the cold.

Where I am it’s been below freezing this week, and my range estimate is now half(!) of what it was a few weeks ago when the weather was reliably up in the 70s (fahrenheit).

From past experience his is normal - I expect it to go back up in the spring.

FWIW I don’t think the estimates are accurate - the winter estimate is too low and the summer estimate is too high.

Frequent DCFCing? When equipped with the QCC JDemo, that max DCFC rate is 50kw, and that's not going to stress a 41kw pack much. The thermal management is really good on these packs.
A little too good iyam. Because mine halves into 20s-30s amps after a short time. I’ve seen as high as 70s kW briefly at some chargers too (~200A). The button to charge at half rate always causes a disconnect for me. I used to care about limiting the charging to prolong battery health but now I don’t care. Also lots of CHAdeMO stations are incompatible on software and only connect briefly before immediately disconnecting. JDemo has been disappointing for me.
