Hello everyone. We are the original owners of our White 2013 Rav4EV with 123k miles. This car is our daily driver and we love it. Nice to be a part of this forum. Just posted asking for advice on strut/shock/spring replacement. Car dives a bit in the front. Not sure what I should replace? Any advice would be welcomed. Thanks

Welcome to the forum! Have you had any issues with your RAV?

If you're on original struts/shocks at 123k miles, you're arguably well past due for replacement. It depends on the service conditions, but typically struts/shocks lose a good bit of damping and should be replaced ~ 50-75k miles, or sooner if you see fluid leaking along the shaft or have uncontrolled wheel hop.

New front struts with stiffer damping should help your nose dive. Springs generally don't lose much rate and shouldn't need replacement. I would also caution against buying a pre-assembled spring/strut assembly, as there could be an issue with the wrong rate spring being used (I'm not sure if the EV model is the same or different from either the 4 or 6 cylinder gas models).

Thanks hokiematt

I did have my drive motor replaced a year ago from last October. Had the work performed down in Vista at QC charge. This past October I had the coolant delete installed by the new owners of Tony's business (QC charge.).
