schneider was good the whole way...very professional and can't say enough about their excellent customer service

Be glad that Schneider is a big company with many other product lines - unlike Ecotality/Blink. The profits from those other product lines ensure that they have money to take care of incidents like yours. Blink has no such resources and is now looking at bankruptcy.

Anyway, glad they took care of the EVSE cable and your car.

I also installed a Schneider in my garage, not knowing about this defect.

My fiancee let me have it, when she had to go to work late because she couldn't pull the plug out. Then, when she finally got it off, one of the prongs was fused in with the female receptacle. We're now getting the receptacle completely replaced on the car by Fremont Toyota and calling Schneider immediately!

How long do you think it will take them to come out and make the necessary changes?
