This error message popped up this morning each time I put the car in B mode, and would disappear when I put the car back in Drive. As far as I could tell B mode was working just fine when coasting to a stop. First time I've seen any error message, let alone this one. Dropped off my kids, turned the car back on and the error message was gone. Anyone seen this particular error message?

Thanks for the link Airton. I'd considered temperature since it was on the chilly side this morning, 46 degrees. But we've been below 50 in the mornings for a week now..... We'll find out how the winter weather treats us all soon enough.... last night the weatherman predicted some winter storms for the central valley this week.

thanks

Once the battery heater warms up the battery (I recommend using the preheating feature before you drive) and/or the car is further away from 100% charged, that message will go away.

i think this is strictly temperature related in your case. you only have 8 bars showing on the battery charge display so its not becuase its "too charged" (which is the reason i get this message frequently).

Fully charge your car while at 3300 ft. drive downhill. You'll get this message *every time*.

It goes away for me when i've driven for 15 min or so and burned a few miles off the range.

My question is when the temp gets low outside what are the different Sanrio's for the pack heater to come on? If it's plugged in does it automatically turn on, or only when you put cabin heat on etc.

That's a good question and I would also like to know. During the cold months I normally leave our EVs plugged in overnight since I precondition in the morning anyway to maximize range. Maybe only in extreme conditions while plugged in?

Interesting. Temp cutoff for this message may be around 46 degrees, according to the little bit of 'data' gathered this week. Yesterday it was 48, no message. This morning 43 degrees and I got the same message for the first 10 - 15 minutes.
