Wider wheels at the front only?

What are your thoughts on putting wider wheels at the front only? The rear wheels do not provide any propulsion So they would not help at take off. Do the rear wheels affect the odometer or only the front wheels? Wider front wheels would add more weight and help with traction. Rav4 Forum mentions you can put 245 width tires. Thoughts?

It will lower your efficiency and therefore your range. Wider tires wouldn't affect your odometer, only taller ones.

Who cares about range when you have j d e m o. Do you know if the odometer uses front wheels or rear wheels? I would love to have better traction on the front wheels. Wider tires would have a bigger contact patch And also add a little more weight at the front. Perhaps even help with braking distance. Do you think 245 tires would fit? The rav forums mentions that they do fit.
