Yes, I saw Tony's post on that. Mine is a 2012, the vin has the 'C', no confusion there. But I'm wondering about the 2013's. I saw an earlier post in this thread from a member who bought a 2013. If the 2013's are out there I'd like to use that info in negotiating a final price before setting my john hancock on the bill of sale.

See Tony's post (2 post above) for the identification of whether yours is a "C" EV or a "D" EV.

Yes, 2013's are out there. The last time I did a www.cars.com search in San Diego, we had zero 2012's and two 2013's in the whole county of 3.5 million residents and many thousands of existing EV's (mostly LEAF).

Thanks Tony.

Just picked up my 2012 Rav4 EV, Shoreline Blue, from San Francisco Toyota. 79 mile drive home..... awesome!!!! Love it!!!
By the way for those still searching for Rav4s, Hanlees Hilltop Toyota near the Bay Area has three 2013's coming in this week, one in each color, and they are offering 11,000 off sticker. That's their starting offer at least today.

It was a nice couple of days having a pristine Rav4 EV. But now the kids' carseats are in place and soon the car will smell like Cheerios and goldfish... at best!

Funny, I JUST spent the last 10 minutes looking for your post / this thread, and the stupid search engine wouldn't let me search for any 'common' words, so I couldn't find it ... then you responded, and here we are, thanks :)

Did I read this right, and they are offering $11,000 off the MSRP of the 2013's ?

Do a google search:

site:myrav4ev.com "stuff you are looking for"

Of course, leave off the " " if you are not looking for a phrase, but individual words.

8800 from Toyota, 2200 dealer incentive. Said three 2013s would arrive by 5/10.

Hope I didn't cause any confusion with the $11,000 post.... meant 11,000 total including Toyota's 8800 for the 2013....

Nope, makes sense, sounds like as good of a deal as the 2012's (minus the 0% financing). It makes me feel a little better since the sales process of my current RAV4 is going slower than I thought, and not sure if it will be completed before the deadline.

Not 100% sure, but I think they also have the 0% financing. Give the salesman at Hanlees Hilltop a call. His name is Jong "Pacman" Paek. His phone numbers are:

Landline: 510-243-2020;

Cell: 510-912-7908.

Email: [email protected].

Finally closed the show with a friend of mine on a couple '12 EVs. After $9300 incentive, purchased in Norcal for $37,888 + TTL before $2500/$7500 state/fed incentives.

There are a few '12s in Norcal out there so still some decent deals to be had.

I would like to know if lease special on RAV4EV 2012 is wrongly calculated. From what i know this can't be 499.

Toyota Lease Special - RAV4 EV , 499 / 36 months

All values below are approximates.

RAV4 EV = 50100 $
Toyota Cash Rebate = -10,000$
Approx Net Cap incl Tax, Title fee, Acquisition fee, Document Prep Fee etc = +4500$
Total Cap = 44600$
Federal Tax Credit = -7500 $
CA State Tax Credit = -2500 $
Net Cap = 34600$

Residual Value (36 months) = 22410 $
Base Payment = 338 $
Rate = 0.0001
Tax (0.08) = 27.04
24 Month Payment = 365 $

Website Special says 499. No body will BUY EV if you have such a high monthly payment and on an old shape RAV 4EV , sorry to say. Correct payment is 365$

Toyota does not pass along the 7500 fed credit... they take it from what I understand. The 2500 state money comes back to you in the form of a check. That's why most buy.

If toyota doesn't pass 7500 credit and practically they own the vehicle (not us) then they just keep it without sharing. In case of financing, toyota is giving 10000 off as well plus we get 7500 and 2500 credit, that makes it 20000 less. That means financing is better then leasing in this case?

Yup. Most people buy. :)

Okay so i'm new here, and i just bought a blue Rav4 EV *today* in Fremont, CA. Got 9300 off (8800 rebate + 500 from sales person) plus the zero percent financing. (I wasnt going to finance, but at 0%, what could go wrong?)

Anyway, happy to join the crowd, my EV is happily chargning (at 110V alas) downstairs in the garage right now.

Okay just to confirm, since i was asked this is a 2013 car:

2013 RAV4 EV
SHORELINE BLUE PEARL
VIN:2T3YL4D.....

(I acutally didnt ask whether it was a 2013 or a 2012, but the "D" in the VIN i think proves it. Thats from my Entune account which i just set up and Toyota helpfully prepopulated for me). I also got set up on Chargepoint today (its what we use at Google to manage our charging stations). Wow is 240V charging fast :)

Actually, I think it's the letter before the W and trailing numerics that indicates the year. My 2012 has the same VIN portion you showed above.
