Help! The car didn't alert me that the charging port door/lid was open and i knocked it off pulling out of my garage (stupid, I know). Just the metal cover came off and the hinge/inner door are still attached and will click closed. Any idea how to put the metal door covering back on? I attached pictures but not sure if they're helpful!

It doesn't seem to...there might be a specific spot I should start and I can't figure that out! there are multiple tabs?

Well, in photo 3867, you can see 4 tabs on the plastic plate with the foam pad on it. On photo 3870, there's 4 corresponding slots, and it should then slide to lock. It does look like the slot on the upper right might be bent a little. You might try straightening it.

I’m experiencing an issue with my RAV4 Prime (2021) and I was hoping for some advice.

A few days ago, I accidentally forgot to close the charging port lid before backing out of my garage (which is quite tight). Unfortunately, the lid got damaged when it hit the garage wall. Since then, my car has been charging, but it only charges up to 70.5 km of range, regardless of the outside temperature or how long it’s plugged in.

Previously, I was consistently getting 77-80 km per charge, so this drop is quite noticeable. There are no error messages about the lid being open, and the lid is still fully closing (but is slightly loose where it fits).

Has anyone else experienced something similar? Could the damage to the lid or hinge affect the charging system? Or is there something else I should check?

Any insights or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
