Winter range extender by heating coolant

1. plug into (timed?) 120V 15A. This means there's 2 plugs going into your car: 1 for charging, 2nd for this gizmo.
2. warm battery fluid
3. enjoy heat, full regen from start, full battery with longer range, improved battery lifespan

This upgrade has a long history of use. I'm shocked Tesla doesn't offer it as a cold weather option (not block heater).

What kind of improvement have others realized? Has anyone done this? Group buy for those who want to?

Yes.
It may be easier to find 120V when running errands & battery is cooling, not plugged in.
Look at Plugshare filter 120V only & ask when you're doing errands locally. Keeping the battery warm during winter would give summer time range & other benefits.

Can't you just use the 120v EVSE that comes with the car to pre-heat?
 
I thought 120V EVSE would only charge battery at slow rate, then have efficiency losses. I thought Level 2 6.6+kW was needed for preheat without using big battery.
