this range test on the Spark EV is pretty interestinghttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TPsgnI4vRoQ but one fo the more interesting parts is that the Rav4EV is the vehicle used to drop off and pick up the participants :) (You can see it at the end of the video) (its not the tow vehicle though, you can see that in the early part of the video where they're dropping off the Spark EV).

It looks like they got an actual hiway range of 97 miles out of the Spark EV so its a bit less than the Rav4.

I did that test, and I'm not sure I would characterize the Spark EV as "a bit less" range than the Rav4 EV, which will do 146 miles on that loop (41.8kWh * 3.5 miles per kWh economy = 146 miles range autonomy).

I think the Spark EV got 5 miles per kWh economy * about 20kWh usable for just under 100 miles range autonomy.

Speaking of comparing range with another EV, wonder if the Tesla powered Merc B wagon can out range the Rav4ev. EPA says 115, so maybe 140ish+ can be done in extended mode. Mag reviewers got a chance to played with it a few days back in Germany.

It has a 28kWh battery (and no quick charge, just like Rav4 EV) that will likely come in around 98 miles of range at 62mph like the Spark EV.
