First Gen: Cost of reconditioning battery vs buying new one?

I don't currently own a Rav4 EV, but I'm calculating the cost of ownership. One that I'm looking at has a battery out of balance, and I want to know what that would take to fix. I could have the battery balanced/reconditioned or I could buy a new one. Any ideas?

This forum really doesn't follow the first generation Rav4 EV at all. I know there is a service in Sacramento that will refurbish the pack.
