There are 38 left right now.AeroVironment has been awarded a contract by the California Energy Commission (CEC) to assist in the deployment of electric vehicle service equipment (EVSE) and installation. This program is designed to increase the infrastructure of charging equipment available in California to lay a foundation for the increased adoption of electric vehicles.
AeroVironment is offering a free charging station and installation to those customers who meet the program criteria. Chargers are extremely limited and will be given to those customers who apply for the program on a first come first served basis.
The program launches on June 11th with an initial small allotment of 50 free chargers and installations available for eligible consumers. After the initial launch phase AeroVironment will release a second allocation of free chargers and installations starting in July.
Under http://evsolutions.avinc.com/products/cec/eligibility_criteria, it says
Program Criteria:
Must have purchased or leased an EV/PHEV and applied for the program at the dealership on the same day as purchase
Must agree to take part in usage data survey
Charger installation location must be in California
Vehicle must have an SAE J1772 coupler
Vehicle must be a passenger vehicle and able to drive on California roads and highways
All program applications must be submitted through dealership at time of purchase (NOTE: A consumer may NOT submit the application themselves)
I must agree to the Terms & Conditions prior to installation
