This past weekend my JdeMO entertained me with some new blinking light patterns, but no charging, on two chargers I had not tried before.
The chargers are both FreeWire BOOST chargers, and I can successfully charge with that model of charger in King City, California. These two are in San Jose at a Rotten Robbie gas station.
It was a dark and rainy night ... seriously, it was.
For the past few months I have been battling EVgo ABB chargers that start the charge (red light in Chademo nozzle lights), then immediately stop with no error. The JdeMO green light flashes once in this situation. (The ABB chargers used to work until a software upgrade in September 2022. Other brands of EVgo chargers, such as the ones at Prunedale, California, still work very well/almost 100%).
THIS TIME, however,:
- One of the chargers caused the green light to blink twice, and then the charge stopped
- The other charger caused it to blink 5 times, and then the charge stopped
Does anyone know what the different green light blinking patterns mean?
Thanks
