Hey everyone, I’ve got a 2002 Rav4 EV and recently ran into an odd issue with charging. The charger itself seems to be working fine; it stops as if the car’s fully charged, but when I check the meter inside, it only shows about 3/4 full. Has anyone else experienced something like this or have any insights on what might be going on? Any help or ideas would be really appreciated! Worried if I did something wrong, or if I should get this back to the dealer.

How old is the 12v battery? Strange things can happen to that generation if the 12v is weak. Get this back to the dealer? You know a dealer that works with the early models? That's pretty amazing.

1.Try to do diagnostics, which was recently carried out in Toronto

2. For now, you can read the fault codes without scan tools

3.Pay attention to this description of one (from two) charging fault and how to fix it

4.The video descriptions contains links to other videos about this canadian vehicle.

Based on the description, I assume that a fatal/large decrease in SOH of one or more HV battery modules is the reason for premature termination of charging.

Checking the HV battery parameters in different modes using the Techstream program will help confirm this assumption.
