Tires - What alternatives would you recommend?

I'd like to know what the best traction tire is I can put on the Rav4 EV that won't eat up too much range. The OEM tires have terrible traction, and I'm willing to sacrifice a little road noise and range to improve the tires' grip on the road. Any suggestions?

What surface do you want more grip? Dry pavement? Wet? Dirt? Snow?

Southern California roads, so mostly dry pavement with a secondary consideration for wet for when it (rarely) rains. Basically all-season but not caring about snow or off-road dirt.

Are you still getting the same general range with the Michelin Defenders on your Rav4 EV (i.e., approx. 90 on standard charge and 110 on extended)?

Don't you mean more like 100 miles on standard and 125 on extended?? (That's Santa Cruz/SF Bay Area, 65-70mph, mild/warm weather.)
