Swapping Seats in a 2014 RAV4 EV

Hey folks,

I’m curious, can I swap the seats in my 2014 RAV4 EV for some from a newer RAV4 (gas/hybrid)? Has anyone given this a shot or know if it’ll work?

Ermmm I’m not entirely sure, but I think it could work since the body styles are similar, but there might be differences in the wiring or mounting points between the EV and gas/hybrid models.

The seat heater controls are unique in the EV. People have swapped for the full leather seats from an ICE RAV4, but the only practical way to retain seat heater function was to take apart the EV seats and remove the heaters and transfer them to the new seats.

Good to know! So it sounds like it’s doable but a bit of a hassle, right? Honestly, I’m not exactly a DIYer, so I’d probably just end up making a mess.

I think I’m leaning toward just grabbing the EV seats instead, way less stress!
