Did you take the line in from the speakers level or did you add a convertor?

Looks like he is using a JL Cleansweep so that is probably using the speaker level out.

Boy... this is a really old thread, and sorry to resurect it. I am considering undertaking some stereo upgrades. Keeping the head unit ofcourse, but don't have a definitive idea of what exactly the current layout of the system is... body wise we are more like a 2012 RAV4 ICE than a 2014 right? Also do we all have a separate amp somewhere or is the head unit powered? Anyone know where the amp actually is?

Yes, the 2012-2014 Toyota RAV4 EV is based on the 2006-2012 RAV4 body. Not much is shared with the 2013 and newer gasoline RAV4.

All the 2012-2014 RAV4 EVs are the same, EXCEPT the exterior color. Only one option was available, and all cars came with that “option”... floor mats.

Four colors were offered:

1) Pearl White ($395 extra)
2) Fleet white (only available to fleets)
3) Blue
4) Silver
