There is no "long term" data, since the car is less than three years old. The best data is that there are no RAV4 batteries that have been reported with abnormal significant degradation.
Is there no data from other Tesla vehicles? Or is the RAV battery that different?
Roadster battery seems to have done well but have never seen anything to compare consistent 100% vs 80% charging.

From my lab testing (found elsewhere in this forum), cycling the cells down to low depths of discharge is worse than using extended charge. So use extended charge and just enjoy the extra available range.

What is the lowest you would advise to go ? 20% ?
I went down to 10% (3 miles on GOM) last week and I felt bad about it.

You can go down to whatever you need to get home, as long as you don't do it every day, it won't matter. Yes, staying above 20% SOC is a good rule of thumb.

Any idea what 20% shows on the battery meter ? last 2 or 3 bars ?

I've charged 5 to 6 days a week, twice a day and atleast once at 100% per day. My Rav has 66,000 miles on it in just over two years and my battery is slightly degraded, but I still am getting 120+ miles on a 100% charge. So just drive. :D

I think I will start doing a regular extended charge Friday afternoon at work.
Better chance to go a bit further on the weekend before charge is needed.

Bassman, I think you have the high mileage winner. Keep it up!
