I noticed that my 30A charger is charging faster than the stated time. Toyota states 6.5 hours for a 30A, but mine is getting done in about 5.5 hours.
I thought I might be charging with greater efficiency so I tried to calc it.
When I was done driving my GOM was on LO and according to RavCharge I had 2.1 KWH left in the battery.
I charged it to a 80% SOC charge which is about 35KWH.
My charge began at 11PM per the e-mail and was completed at 4:18AM
35-2.1 = 32.9KWH in 5.333 hours = 6.17 KW
30A * 240V = 7.2KW
Charger Inefficiency = 1 - 6.17/7.2 = 14.3% inefficient
14% inefficiency seems about right, but if that's the case how am I charging closer to the 40A charging time?
