I've 2 times that when I parked somewhere, where there is no charge point what so ever, i got an email a few minutes after switching rav4 off that "charging failed". Strange because I didn't even try.
So when I had the first 5000 miles service coming up, I asked for upgrade of the firmware of the charger.
Apart from no sticker under the hood with the new firmware version, so far so good. The invoice stats that the ecm now is running 1.3.83.
Than one morning I go into the garage, charging has finished long time ago but the cooling pump is still running continuously. My garage has a 240 volt 20 amp plug so I am only charging at 16 amps. Normally when I plug it in the cooling pump starts "intermittent" but to find it running continuous, while leds of the charging system are both off, and no power is drawn from the mains is new. Charging stopped 9PM last night, and this morning 7AM the pump is still running. The temp in the garage is 65 degrees.
This morning that happened the 2nd time in 11 days after the firmware upgrade.

Anyone seen this before ?
Should I open ticket with Toyota ?

Did you set the departure timer? The Rav will always draw power from the EVSE from 20 minutes before to 7 minutes after the departure time you set, presumably to thermally pre-condition the battery before you drive.

When the pump is running, the vehicle is still plugged in, right? Does the pump stop after the vehicle is un-plugged?
Yes, as soon as I remove the J1772 openevse (1st gen) plug it stops.
But the relay in the openevse is not enabled so there is no power going to the car at all.
The behaviour changed after the latest firmware update, so I think it is a firmware issue
