Charging stopped due to system malfunction

In my car, the temp setting goes from 85 to "HI", there is no 90 degrees setting Temp Setting: HI and AC off, mode set to NORMAL Air colder (61F) than ambient temp (64F) blowing even when AC is off and heat is on. PWR: 13.8V RMI - No signal. (I double checked the needle is making...

Charging stopped due to system malfunction

Before zero adjustment: 0.03A After zero adjustment: 0.001A Reading 0.001A Temp setting doesn't go that high. It just says "HI" at the maximum setting. I was being lazy after putting back the heater assembly. I did ensure that they were making contact by a continuity check. I will bolt...

Charging stopped due to system malfunction

I put a small wire into the rmi terminal on d15 and connected positive probe to it. Connected ground to one of if the ground connections available. I see no signal. I hope I have connected it properly this time.

Charging stopped due to system malfunction

Aargh, sorry about the confusion and frustration caused to you. I thought the bottom right of https://alflash.com.ua/2019/to_rav4ev/cab_heat_w.png is D15. I will repeat the test properly soon. The screenshot above helped. In the screen recording of TPD, the temp was at "HI". Ambient temp was at...

Charging stopped due to system malfunction

When I did the test here, https://www.myrav4ev.com/threads/charging-stopped-due-to-system-malfunction.2692/post-31923, oscilloscope ground was connected to 2 and positive was connected to a heating element as there was continuity ( 2 ohm resistance between 1 and heating element I marked) I did...

Charging stopped due to system malfunction

I marked in blue. Left one is where positive was and right was where negative was. Here is video from cabin and tpd screen - https://1drv.ms/f/s!AoMSicNQxi7y5hU71C3EklLXznWY (This video is with D15 still connected) Doesn't seem to change. Only fan speed changes it. Yes...

Charging stopped due to system malfunction

Checked using the oscilloscope and clamp on meter with zero calibration. Also, verified that temp is not increasing. Prep Zeroing clamp meter - 20241005_205858.mp4 Continuity check of oscilloscope probes to the cabin heater plug terminals. I found that it was easier to connect oscilloscope...

Charging stopped due to system malfunction

Summarizing the results of the tests so far I think based on the continuity that exists between HV terminals and cabin heater terminals, I presume they are in good condition. I didn't get the location of this. Is this inside the sealed DC-DC convertor? Based on the video I posted earlier, no...

Charging stopped due to system malfunction

Tested this today. They seem fine, no short. Video: https://1drv.ms/v/s!AoMSicNQxi7y5W5Ksgbj23dlFuIT Checked resistance of all elements. They are seem to be in the same range Video: https://1drv.ms/v/s!AoMSicNQxi7y5W-G--nP3RXp3aNE Will test the input signal next after the oscilloscope arrives

Charging stopped due to system malfunction

Now back to diagnosing the heater issue Yes. There is continuity at the negative terminals as well. Ordered an oscilloscope which will be delivered in a few days, but a dumb question. How do I tap into the signal to see the pwm waveform going into the heater. If I remove the heater plug, hvil...

Charging stopped due to system malfunction

Good news ! The car is charging now ! Wow, That was an easy fix ! Thanks @alflash I had inserted the service disconnect with the handle at 45 degrees. Properly getting it to 90 degrees before inserting it was the key !

Charging stopped due to system malfunction

@asavage @alflash I finished putting back the OBC after replacing the fuses. I think I have connected everything except the cabin coolant hoses. Also, did a coolant purge. I am getting a BMS_f062 - Contactor power supply problem. It is also not going into Ready mode (which was working fine...

Charging stopped due to system malfunction

@alflash @asavage Update on the charging issue: I removed the OBC and it was indeed a blown fuse. What puzzles me is the fact that the resistance measurements at the charging terminals were OK. In this case, it was the upper fuse that was bad.

Charging stopped due to system malfunction

I had missed removing one screw. A set of pics from you on another thread helped me find the location of that.

Charging stopped due to system malfunction

I was knocked out by COVID for about a week, but I am back to working on this. @asavage I am very close to removing the OBC but got stuck removing the HVJB cover. I think I have removed all the long screws, but there is still something holding it. 20240927_133613.mp4 I was following this. Does...

    Coolant Delete

Here is the speed sensor area. The speed sensor is clean. I forgot to take the picture of colorless moisture before I wiped it with a rag a week ago. Since then I don't see any more moisture on it.

Charging stopped due to system malfunction

@asavage I have the rightmost tool, but I was worried about breaking it. I was able to pry it out now applying a bit more force :)

Charging stopped due to system malfunction

Kind of a dumb question I think. How do I remove the transparent plastic cover to access the HV terminals? @asavage No worries. Appreciate your help !

Thanks. I had already watched this and am aware of the consequences, which is why I am asking this question. What I don't understand is if stopping the leak enough to prevent a catastrophic failure or is the failure imminent unless the LDU is also serviced. There is no evidence of corrosion at...
