    2014 Blizzard, 150,000 miles 75 mile range.

I just sold 3503 with keysavvy it worked great. Highly recommended. Buyer received tax credit on sale. Buyer rented truck and a U-Haul car carrier to drive it back to his state which was definitely the right call.

    Unfortunately for sale

Also finding blowout deals on NEW 2023 Volvo XC40 Recharge. Got mine >$22k under MSRP. They were only going to give me $4000 for my RAV4, which I thought was low ball considering I had a Carvana offer for $5,200.

    Range is going down :(

A little too good iyam. Because mine halves into 20s-30s amps after a short time. I’ve seen as high as 70s kW briefly at some chargers too (~200A). The button to charge at half rate always causes a disconnect for me. I used to care about limiting the charging to prolong battery health but now I...

new 12V battery dead after 12 months

Thanks. I got a new battery from the dealership last week because the car was waiting 6 months for a windshield from the warranty paint job that broke it. They nuked it to jump the battery and I could smell sulfur and see fumes the next day so I brought it back and they swapped it for a new...

Hello to the Remaining Rav4 EV Owners Out There

    (800) 331-4331 Grayson is the guy who helped me get a windshield that broke during my warranty paint job. Only took 6 months. If they can’t source a part you might be able to manage a repair. Iirc a heater problem is usually an internal component fuse (in the heater component, not the fuse...

    152k miles...no replacements ever made

it’s the last four of the VIN. Also, reducing amps from 40 will make it slightly easier on your battery chemistry and longevity although maybe not noticeable if the battery is degraded significantly. But it shouldn’t make a difference in your electric bill unless they charge by time or peak...

Hello to the Remaining Rav4 EV Owners Out There

Call the Toyota customer experience center. They called me last night about my windshield on back order since May. To get a feel for how long things are taking, I asked about the motors. Grayson looked it up and told me there are 2 being delivered soon to customers who ordered them in October...

    Windshield replacement

I’ve been waiting 2 months for a windshield that was damaged during the extended warranty paint job.

Longer Range Battery / Extra battery

People have been saying this since the Leaf debuted in 2011. Don’t hold your breath.

Longer Range Battery / Extra battery

Do you know of any dealers participating in the used EV tax credit program for these cars?

Yet another 2013 Rav4EV on the market

I recently brought mine (71k miles) into a dealership when shopping for a new car. They offered me auction value ($6000) after I balked ant the initial offer of $4300. I don’t think the sales manager realized there is a $4k IRS tax credit for qualifying buyers when these go through a dealer...

Wet Speed Sensor and what it means to me?

Here’s my speed sensor at about 22k miles on a reman with a sticker of 2020/04/27. I touched the droplets to a white paper towel and I think it was blue before it spread too thin to make out any color. Haven’t noticed any change in my reservoir fluid level. Yet…

My RAV4EV came to a GRINDING halt today

I feel the same--love the car but know from hearing from everyone here that it's only a matter of time before something fails. The first loudly milling DU was replaced under factory warranty--not sure how much that one cost. I checked my repair bill and it was $5824.42 for my (third) LDU in May...

My RAV4EV came to a GRINDING halt today

I would like to know more about “Toyota's price for a reman LDU exceeds the value of the car.” Nationwide search on car gurus has them ranging from $8k-$11k. Is the motor really that much? My last motor replacement was $6300 with the labor and parts a couple years ago.

    Removing low speed proximity sound

5 years or 60k mi. All are more than 9 years now.

Tony-Test: How to Calculate Rated Range/Battery Degradation

I’m also barely able to squeeze any more in on extended after a standard charge and 67k miles. Maybe 1kwh. I noticed it took a big hit after my battery went to nothing about a year ago. Seemed to lose 1-2kwh capacity after that event. It also seems to get just a bit more if I use the level 1...

    TPD diagnostic cables pre-assembled

Longer Range Battery / Extra battery

Call QCCharge. They might have a solution and they’re in San Diego county. I recently saw a YT video that featured a mechanic describing battery repair options in their shop for a model S battery, I think. Maybe they can work on ours too.
