The method is good. Replacement... sooner the better.

My 12v was going dead when the gateway computer went bad. Was not communicating to turn some systems off so had about a 2 amp load on the 12v battery continuous as measured with a DC clamp-on meter.

My guess is you need a new gateway computer. Need to connect to the Toyota/Tesla diagnostics machine. Too expensive to just replace blindly. And you may need the diagnostics machine to initialize it into the system. Do you have any warranty? If you can't get a mobile Toyota mechanic you are...

Mine has been great and I really like and recommend it. Battery is incredible and is holding up great compared to the Nissan LEAF disaster. Although is time to sell and move on to the next EV.

Yes my 2011 LEAF battery was a disaster. Tesla battery is far and away superior. I far prefer the utility and size of the RAV over the LEAF as well. With an I-Pace on the way I am going to miss the RAV4-EV....

Just completed full extended charge.... 137 miles is shown. Mine must have an issue or a big shoe is about to drop.

How many miles? My GOM still goes to 130-150 range on full extended charge and CC off. 63k miles. 66 miles would kill me. I get about 110 on normal charge and running the air.

Ok my turn as I will be moving on to another EV soon. 2014, Blue, 64,595 miles (today), good original condition not perfect. No smoking or pets. No extended warranty or quick charge option. OEM cord was upgraded to L2. Heater does not seem to work... need to use seat heaters. Everything else...

$7,000 is crazy money for this stuff. I am lucky enough my heater failed without taking down the DC converter. I wonder what a similar failure would cost on a BOLT?
