    The dealer only changes assemblies. Good thing you have a warranty or it would cost thousands. Be sure to check the fuses first though.

    If it is not the contactor and it is out of warranty an OpenEVSE unit will work. I put one into an Aeroenvirement unit for a man with good results.

    Key Fobs not Recognized

    If the fobs are like the VW ones they need the full 3.3V of a new battery. 3V is within spec but no go.

    The 2017 B250E has a drive train from the Netherlands. To me that implies the Tesla fixed Tesla drivetrain. There is a thread here that Toyota is scrapping off lease RAV4 EV's for the parts. From that aspect you will end up with servicable old parts.

    I tried to purchase one of the last new RAV4 EV's but the Toyota dealer had no interest in my Leaf. On the other hand, Mercedes was desperate and gave me a really good deal.

    Leviton Leviton EVR40 Charger having a bad day?

    I put an OpenEVSE board into a burned up aeroenviremrnt EVSE. The board is pretty universal. It most likely would work in the Leviton.

    High Current Draw During Charging

    Fuses blow (fuse) strictly by heat. If the holder is a little loose it can make a difference. OpenEVSE originally used a 30A rated 3AG style holder. it got so hot at half current that they switched to a 5AG style for larger fuses to better dissipate the heat.
