I know on the PIP there were adapters out there that you could add an hdmi input to the video screen so you could watch movies as you drove. The same adapter would also bypass the navigation system so you could enter address and use your phone while you were in motion.

Are there any adapters like that out there for the Rav ev?

That would be nice - I frequently wish my iPad would just adhere on top of the screen so I could use it for nav and phone

Thats not what I am looking for but its interesting.

I am looking for something that would use the existing radio/screen and unlock the nav. Coastal Tech makes products like this but not for the Rav4 EV

Try these guys... http://www.prestigioussociety.com/?page_id=1167

I believe one of our members had installed it.

I would not touch Coastal Tech as their customer support sucks. My local stereo shop guys used them for their bypass, and he knew of slow support issues.

As for the above link from me, I believe that allows an Ipad to put in front of the OEM Nav. They custom build console panel to allow an ipad to sit. This is flush compared to all those variants of phone mounts. But you know... $$$$$$.

Yes! Prestigious Society does offer modules for the Rav EV

This bypasses the nav

This offers a video input for Toyotas with Entune

That is fantastic news! The prices are pretty reasonable too... I am personally waiting to see what is offered on the front in terms of AirPlay integration. Doubt we will see an official update from Toyota to enable it, but whatever solution, third-party or otherwise, should support it. Although PS has a video mirroring mode, it would be nice to have the screen relay back touch commands back to the iOS device.
