Cargo Cover "ears"

It appears that the 'ears' on the retractable cargo cover are a weak point of the design, and once one of them breaks off the cover becomes non-functional (and can't be easily repaired by reattaching the broken part). To make it "better than new" for a small cost, simply remove both of the ears, and you will notice parallel channels running the width of the rear bar. Purchase some 1/4" polycarbonate rod from Amazon or your favorite source, trim two pieces to the appropriate length, and insert in the channel (full width). I also secured them with a drop of hot glue at each end, and voila, you once again have a fully functional (and better than new) cargo cover, now with virtually unbreakable ears.
