My turn for the Check EV message

Not mine. I am usually good about making sure no tools are left behind. I have a screwdriver that looks similar but I just checked and mine is in the toolbox. Never owned a Stanley socket.

My turn for the Check EV message

Maybe part of the story, but not the whole story. I found it was easiest to trigger the Check EV issue after the car had been sitting for a while. On my first investigative run, the Check EV message came up after about 3/4 mile, then it took probably no more than 30 seconds of sitting turned...

My turn for the Check EV message

Hello @hokiematt. We are in the Temecula/Murietta area in CA. I just finished the listing in the Classified section of the forums (as you posted your query!). I have not investigated what it may be worth as yet (next task), but would be quite flexible on pricing.

    FS: 2014 RAV4EV, White, Temecula/Murrieta CA area

For sale is our 2014 RAV4EV. We have owned this from new, and up until a few years ago this was serviced regularly at Toyota Carlsbad. Just under 2 years ago the engine and seals were done by QCcharge. They did not find any fluid in the inverter. Then about a year ago the seals were redone...

My turn for the Check EV message

Thank you for all the valuable input. Life got in the way again, so I did not have time to check the cables like I had hoped. Discussing things with my wife, who is the main driver of the EV, she does not feel confident in the reliability of this car. So we will be selling this car with the...

Bay Area repair shop that can still work on RAV4EV?

@ogmm did you end up checking the sensors? Wondering if the issue was the Chinese made sensors or a problem with the car.

    Battery air pump replacement

On my car it runs noisily after the car has been driven in rain or humid weather, then goes silent when things dry out. I don't know if it only runs if a sensor says it is necessary (so only on or off), or if there is a variable speed.

My turn for the Check EV message

Thanks Al, I did come across that thread. The evidence is pointing to the sensor. Just need to check the wires / connectors to eliminate the easier options. I sure wish there was some way to test the sensor so I could be sure before spending $300 on a new one.

My turn for the Check EV message

Thanks Hokiematt, I have recently checked the sensor and it was dry, as I expected as QC Charge replaced the seals just a year ago. As I recall when they worked on the car they had stated there was no fluid in the inverter. So unlikely to be that. I am hoping to check the sensor cables are...

My turn for the Check EV message

Hmm so when I posted the original description of the issue, I also ordered the parts to get TPD going. I just got TPD connected and downloaded the logs from before the time of the original failure until now. The first thing that happened is DI_f020 speed sensor problem detected, followed 7...

My turn for the Check EV message

Thank you for the replies so far. I too was thinking that the Check EV should not cause the other controls to misbehave. I had not thought of animals chewing wires. This car usually lives in a garage which has no signs of rodents, but it may be a case of a wire insulation has failed in some...

My turn for the Check EV message

Our 2014 model has decided it does not want to behave as it should. The history: A few months ago I drove the car normally to a park, stayed there for a few hours, then started home. A couple of miles from the park I was stopping at a red light when at the very last stage of stopping (car...
