Ok, so I got the pump replaced with one from ebay. Not sure how to test if it's working or not. Is it always on when the car is on? Will the "Check EV system" warning clear on its own?

I'm in Huntington Beach and need to replace one of the coolant pumps that I can't handle on my own. Does anyone have a non-dealer repair shop they'd recommend for simple things like changing a water pump etc? The dealer wants 2k. Seems steep.

Coupla questions: Will this software and cable let you reset the "Check EV system" warning? You mention "Via TIS subscription and download ($25 for two days)," does that mean you need a subscription to use the software any time you want to use it?

Thanks for this. Are the fuses the hard to access ones under a nest of stuff that was mentioned in another thread or are these somewhere I can easily access to test/replace? In other words, where can I find that box with the fuses in your image " 1. Location of battery pump fuses...

Thanks, I'm going to search for someone locally that handles at least some EVs before maybe trying a shop that advertises hybrid servicing.

Tustin (California) Toyota Dealer's service department did the diagnosis. They didn't give much detail beyond what I posted in the other thread. If the fuse is accessible, I think that's something I could check with a meter. Not sure on the relay. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

I don't know what I'm looking for at all. Are either of these what I'm looking for? And if so, do you know if either of these is the Number 1 pump? "Left" is pretty ambiguous depending on where you're standing, but "left pump" is what the dealer told me the error was.

How involved was replacing the pump? Did you need to lift the car to access? I'm apparently in need of the "left" coolant pump and would consider doing it myself if it's not much more involved than say replacing brake pads on an ICE car.

Thanks. I saw a post about a youtube video showing the steps to reset it. That didn't do it. The little yellow "!" triangle comes on also. Don't think it's the 12v, I replaced the 12v battery last year so I think I'm ok for another year hopefully! Guess I'll call the dealer.

Tony, is this something any hybrid/ev repair shop can do or only Toyota dealers? I changed my 12v battery and a few weeks after the "Check EV System" warning showed up. Battery disconnect didn't help.
