Doesn't the adapter go the wrong way? (i.e., from J1772 "male" to Tesla "female") I know some guys have spliced a J1772 on the end of the Tesla UMC and that seemed to work ok but there is no "off the shelf" solution I've heard of.

FYI this is a handy looking dongle I found on amazon for going from NEMA 6-50 to NEMA 14-50. Saves you from having to splice some cables and might be good to throw in the trunk with the portable charger for those RV campgrounds...
