Same thing happened with my Nissan Leaf after they bought it back. Disappeared for a couple months and showed up in Nashville, from Phoenix, same mileage, same battery condition. Buyer has no idea.

I would request the software update so it will be documented that they refused to fix it. If you decide to file a BBB claim you'll need this, and the sooner the better. Our car has been flawless, too, but I now have strike one against Toyota in case I need to take more drastic measures.

Immediately file a complaint with BBB and make sure to call the Toyota hotline and tell them that you are. Contact a local TV station and tell them Toyota won't fix your car. Trust me, this works.
