I'm there too... The economy has been tough on the promotional calendar business. That along with unforeseen repairs has caused losses the last couple years. Things are turning around but for the present time not a lot of tax liability here. At least with the business I can carry the tax...

Seems to me it would only be attractive to someone outside CA that can't take the fed tax savings (due to not having the tax liability) and the 2500 CA rebate.

At the dealership that had the KARR alarms installed the salesman had a master remote that would let him access any car on the lot... easy for them to open locked cars to show customers without having to run in for the keys.

So how did you wire it into the car? Looks pretty cool!

Quite a few dealers contract with a company that installs alarm systems in every car on the lot. This is part of the upgrade items that the finance guy then tries to sell the customer. My experience with a prior vehicle was with the KARR alarm... the finance guy tried to sell the thing and...

I'm waiting to see... So far so good!

Yeah... my dealer, DCH Toyota of Oxnard is known for their slow DMV paperwork processing. When I bought my PIP the plates came in about 2 weeks. Here I'm going almost 3 months for plates... no big deal though with dealer plate cards people still think I just got a new car! :)

I think they might be difficult to remove... have seen some attempts and not with much success. That's why I am thinking of putting on magnetic material and sticking on the body when needed... which is almost never as there are no HOV lanes here in Ventura County.

No lage with mine. Step on the gas (or in our case EV ;) ) pedal and it goes! I'll try to pay more attention to see if any lag is there with different driving styles but so far haven't noticed a thing. There is a little roll back though if on a slight incline.

Yeah... I really think they would sell more if they would advertise the damn things! :roll: As Tony said, Elon Musk even offered to sell the Tesla drive train to Toyota at a lesser price so the vehicle could be sold for less and Toyota said NO! Toyota clearly believes "EV bad... Hybrid good"!

I have had many "unable to communicate" but never a "Low" except when it quit and had to be towed to the dealership. This message was given when I refreshed the display. The car had been plugged in to the CS-60 most of the afternoon. For sure a "bug" but I'm just glad it wasn't really showing...

Thanks! We talked to REC who recommended the Solar Edge system. Would really like to get the Enphase system as there are shading issues and the GF (homeowner) doesn't want the inverter mounted anywhere on the wall.
