Agreed on the GOM being sketchy in terms of accuracy. I'm actually thinking, however, that it at least would offer relative indications. In any case, it's the "power is limited" warning popping up much higher on the GOM (and expected range even accounting for the lower mi/kWh in cold weather)...

...and you should know that the departure time calculation has a bug... On the 30th of each month with 31 days, you will see your display compute your next morning's departure time correctly... but the date will be the 1st of the following month. Unless you were planning on taking the 31st off...

Personally, I think I could sell the NEMA 5-15 only portable EVSE that came with my Rav4 EV for a lot more than the $45 charge for the NEMA 5-15 adapter from Tesla. Tony, is there some issue I should be aware of in terms of using your modified Tesla adapter on 120VAC?

I first affixed 3M "paint protector film" on my car (due to the ease/cleanliness of removal when the time comes) in the three locations then put the HOV stickers on that film. I'm just not comfortable with putting "bumper sticker" glue directly on my paint job.

As explained to me when I converted from "tiered" E-1 to the "tiered" + TOU E-9A, when the EV-A rate becomes available, all those on E-9A will be given the option to switch... but will be grandfathered in if they'd wish to stay on the E-9A rate. I'm curious, though... as I read it the EV-A...

Not sure why this post is in this thread... but I'll bite :-). Me... I bought a painter's tarp for those rare occasions I need such protection... and normally store the tarp in the storage area beneath.

I, too, live in Pleasanton... and had wished the local (Dublin) Toyota dealership carried (and serviced) the Rav4 EV. Alas, I needed to travel over to Fremont Toyota to make purchase. Very happy with their dealership... and service department. Upon my 5K service, I requested and received both...

While it is certainly possible the firmware version is "discoverable" by some obscure/currently-hidden sequence of steps, alas, it is also possible that the mapping from a car's VIN to said firmware version is only in some Toyota-internal database. Regardless, for recall purposes, said database...

Me, I just made sure my "home" EVSE is a plug type. I went with Aerovironment... comes with the NEMA 6-50P. It comes with a mounting plate that the unit simply slides onto - great for quick removal/replacement. For conversion to NEMA 14-50P, I went with the Hobart adapter cable ($50 on Amazon)...
