This is not normal, I check the temperature of my cables etc regularly and they are only occasionally mildly warm, never hot and there is never any smell. I am not an electrician, but that seems like you are risking damage to your charging port by using this one.

The pulsing buzz on my RAV4 was very significant during the first charge on 110 up from almost completely empty. Scared the cat significantly! Once it got near a full charge, the buzzing stopped and I have not heard it since, but have not run it to very low again.

My dealer here in San Diego just told me that the last two RAV4 lease agreements he set up are now 100 dollars more expensive. somewhere around 690 per month. Can anyone else confirm this is true at other dealers? I am waiting for a RAV4 to lease, but am worried that this is a bait and switch...
