Ya personally I wonder it dealers still get same profit. I'm thinking Toyota took some of it back to give to consumers instead so that Toyota can just move through them ASAP. don't know how Toyota is going to move through the necessary quantity at this rate.

Not "quite" right. You have to factor the weight in to be (more) correct. The Leaf gets substantially better MPGe over the RAV4EV. The RAV4EV gets much better range and power with a larger and more power (when needed) battery (and likely motor). The Leaf is much lighter though. Part of that...

The lease offer's with be attractive if you didn't get up to an additional $10k from State and Fed. Heck if they offered $15k lease cash I think more people might lease. Obviously they pushing the buy more. They must not want them back if they can avoid it. I have hate to be Toyota on CPO...

There is a healthy business of quality aftermarket moon roofs that can be CUT into the roof quite easily and for around $1-1.5k depending on options.

Toyota is not really advertising them. VERY limited state availability High Retail price compared to other Higher (Tesla) and lower (Nissan) EV as well as PEHV (Toyota themselves, Chevy, Honda, Etc). More toys available on other Higher (Tesla) and lower (Nissan) EV and PEHV. The RAV4EV is an...

$17,500 off by 1 Dec 2014, Production Ended August 2014

I was noting something similar. I've been tracking the VIN and dealer stock numbers at my local dealers (as well as watching Cars.Com). I've seen my local dealers stock growing as well. The interesting this is to look at say their stock numbers and see how many "possible" (all) cars stock over...

$17,500 off by 1 Dec 2014, Production Ended August 2014

It's a sunk investment and they need to sell them to meet government requirements. They have to make them per contract with Tesla, or already have them all made and in a warehouse somewhere plus they need to keep their fleet MGP targets. Either way it's going to cost them more in the short /...

$17,500 off by 1 Dec 2014, Production Ended August 2014

Wait what. A funny loaded leaf is only $36,740. And I can get it in any color (including Gunmetal), and an ALL black interior, and Leather, and 360 degree camera system. What ?!?!?! It also looks like the Leaf has much higher MPGe, Range, and better charging. Oh COME on ! ! ! Something is...

I was just rushing in myself to post it. But no. I wasn't even going to check again until 3/4 when the current $7500 So Cal / $7000 No Ca program was supposed to end. There seemed to be a lot of No Cal dealers and some So Cal dealers offering big discounts lately. I figured I would check to see...

    $7500 Cash Rebate - 2/5 - 3/4 ! ! !

So that's $7000 No Ca Toyota discount and $3000 dealer discount??? Can that even be right? How about anyone else? That's the best dealer discount I've heard this far.

    $7500 Cash Rebate - 2/5 - 3/4 ! ! !

I think that's part of the problem. Nissan dropped the prices and now has a base spec Model S that's even $10k less (roughly) over the SL Model. And Nissan is supposed to be making them in the US which is supposed to cost them less. Toyota is in the middle between a Nissan Leaf and a base Spec...

    $7500 Cash Rebate - 2/5 - 3/4 ! ! !

I'm kind of in a similar thought. The Tesla is nice looking, have nice toys, is fast, and offers the free charging, longer range. That said you only get the charging on the higher spec cars, not even an option on the $50-60k base model. The way Toyota is own the RAV4 EV pricing some people who...

    $7500 Cash Rebate - 2/5 - 3/4 ! ! !

That's my question, how much further, will it just keep going down each month, where's the bottom ? ? ? I don't know how much they might be "loosing". at a minimum if they sold all the cars at retail it would have been $100 million is Gross Sales but obviously that's not happening. That could...

    $7500 Cash Rebate - 2/5 - 3/4 ! ! !

Actually it is $7,500 in Southern California at least. Perhaps different nationwide or in your area. If you check the So Cal Toyota website you'll clearly see $7,500. Just navigate to the RAV4 EV page as I can't seem to pull a direct link...
