I speculate "new" just means from the manufacturer (Tesla-Toyota) vs a rebuilder like Jasper. Not to worry... the reports on the latest rebuilds from Tesla are very good.

Change the 12 volt battery. Remove the old battery and get a new one while you turn in the old. This will give the computer a chance to go dark and reboot with a new battery with proper voltage. You may still end up with some trouble codes for the dealer to clear but that is the best shot...

Nope. Very poor support from the dealers mixed with Tesla friction, high cost of repairs, and not exactly reliable or easy to diagnose. Now if Tesla would make a RAV like vehicle direct that might go. Or if Toyota would make an EV direct it might work. Yes needs 250 minimum range.

I got grief from Carson Toyota that the Bosch battery was too large and the car could not keep it charged and that is the reason the 12v battery was going dead overnight. Just over $200 to pop in the miniature Toyota battery that was dead next morning. No sense in looking at the gateway...

Just use some jump cables to the second battery and let it rip. I believe the RAV can supply up to 80 amps at 14 volts or 1120 watts. If the inverter cuts out for low voltage just reduce the load or the duty cycle.
