So it sounds like the later RAV4-EVs might at least be missing the Aegis ring (whisker brush) even if they never got ceramic bearings. Is there any aggregated data on which years (or VINs) had motor replacements (and at what mileage)? I have six months left on my 10yr extended warranty (PSA) but...
Related question: Did later RAV4-EV motors (2014-ish) ship with ceramic bearings or were all of them the same? I never had any milling sound (with 42K-ish miles), nor any indication (when doing the coolant delete) of bearing grit/debris in the motor. I'm hoping that (combined with having coolant...
I found it so interesting that there is a date/time written on the inside of this part -- is there a story behind that?
Here's mine from a August 2014 RAV4-EV (marked 5/29, 9:22pm):
That's interesting. I have a LEAF and a RAV both set up to charge on an end-timer, and I've not had any significant problems with either car charging; they both consistently finish early, though they do vary a bit in terms of actual finish time. They've never not finished in time to leave.
My...
From what I can tell, they appear to be mostly the same, with a subtle difference in the length of the receiver -- presumably so it sticks out farther on the back of the car when you have a spare tire on the back. I'm guessing either one will work, and the short one can theoretically be...
Sunnyvale Toyota is down to 17 as of today. They had 35 at the beginning of this month as I posted to the facebook RAV4-EV group.
They're selling (or otherwise unloading) one every day and a half. At that rate, they'll be out by mid October.
It seems that what's out there is all there is --...
Did you drive a LEAF previously? Is it possible that RAV-sized Ecopias are very different from Ecopias on the LEAF? About the only thing LEAF Ecopias have going for them is range...
I'm considering the WeatherTech floor mat for the rear seat floor, and trying to decide between the CoverCraft and the Toyota cargo area cover. The Toyota one looks nicer, but the CoverCraft has the bumper cover flap...

Has anyone ordered one of these yet? It looks like the 2012 RAV cover is PCL6205GY (for gray). The fold out bumper flap looks pretty slick too (especially for folks with big dogs).
What's the best resource to track which RV parks will let you charge on a 14-50 (ideally at 40A), and how much they cost?
PlugShare has a filter for 14-50 outlets, but I'm guessing there are plenty of RV parks that are not (yet?) listed in PlugShare. It would be great if folks would add them...
