I tried to find a manual but I can't seem to find it anywhere.
It seems this unit is also sold as "duoside" evse:
https://duosidaevchargers.com/
Over there it also mentions it can use a 5-15 for L1 charging and 16 amps (20 amp rated plug) for L2 charging.
But it doesn't mention anywhere that it...
Should work on both 120 & 208/240 volt at 16 amps.
Look at this setup at amazon:
https://www.amazon.com/Maxx-16-VOLTAGE-Portable-Electric-120V-240V/dp/B079C71RWF
It was repaired under warranty.
Then I sold a week before turning 3 year old and within 36k miles.
New owner bought extended warranty.
I had the cabin heater & l1/l2 charger replaced about a month before I sold it, under warranty.
The heating unit was (again) replaced about a year later under...
You have read this on the spec sheet ? :
I am certainly not an expert but paralleling smaller wires to make a larger wire is imo never a good idea.
Unless you control the milliohm resistance , one wire could carry more current, warm up , burn through and then the other will follow. especially...
How are you going to connect all the batteries in series/parallel ? electrically spoken.
Why did you put both a contactor and manual switch in series ?
Would a simple manual switch in series with the coil of the contactor be enough to prevent the batteries to be paralleled ?
There is a lot of...
End of lease units are NOT taken back by Toyota for parts.
I started the thread because technician at DCH toyota of Oxnard (socal) swore they did that.
A couple of months later I found my returned VIN rav4ev had been sold out-of-state.
So it went through an auction and was "normally" sold by...
my #3533 (one of the last produced) turned up at a dealership in Pekin, IL.
So it is a RUMOR/LIE (suggested by the RAV4EV technician at DCH toyota of Oxnard CA) that they are re-used for parts...
The person I sold one of my rav4ev's to has the same GW problem.
He has been waiting now 9 weeks and drives a loaner (corolla)
They claim it will be ready before end of week
The usability of a rav4ev is imho "doubled" by the JDEMO add-on.
Unfortunately, if _any_ of the known quirks ( non related to JDEMO ) hits your RAV4EV, toyota (in my experience) makes you jump to hoops in order to even diagnose it.
I really hope it keeps working for you.
As long as it works...
That doesn't sound good.
If Toyota has to provide 10 years of warranty to the customer, this part should have been included in the contract with Tesla for support.
Not Good [TM]
Not in a good place, that is for sure!
I had 2 rav4ev's: loved them both.
But sure am glad I no longer have them...
