While these are clearly not everywhere, in my own experience (http://www.myrav4ev.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=186), they would be helpful in a pinch. Especially if someone finds a real technical reason for not allowing towing, or in the case of too low charge that could preclude towing.

I would like to report my range experiences so far.
First two days of commuting (70F in the morning, upper 80s in the afternoon) with Eco-Hi climate setting, in mixed city/hwy driving.

Mon. drove 63 miles, with 64 miles on range gauge
Tues. drove 92 miles, with 33 miles on range gauge

So under these conditions, it seems like a reliable 125 mile range vehicle (using Extended Charge).

However, I wish the seats were more comfortable and that the white fabric didn't get so dirty so easily.

Tesla's website has some nice features (range, cost, charge time estimators) that may be somewhat analogous to our beloved RAV4EVs.

Just reset the economy gauge in the center console ("Home" button, EV, Energy Monitor, Update, optional Clear) after every full charge. Then you know you have 41.8kWh available and you'll have an accurate assessment of the consumption rate.

Then, when you drive your 63 or 92 miles, you can look at the economy rate and determine quite accurately how far you can go.

For instance, at 3.5 miles per kWh economy from reset at full charge, you know the TOTAL range at that economy is 3.5 * 41.8kWh = 146 miles. If you drove 92 miles, then your remaining range at the same economy is 146 - 92 = 54 miles remaining.

You also know how many kWh remain, in case you change your economy. 92 / 3.5 = 26.28kWh burned leaving 41.8 - 26.28 = 15.5kWh remaining.

If you had 75 miles to go, you know you need 75 / 15.5 = 4.8 miles per kWh economy !!! Good luck with getting that (40-45 mph).
